**Expected Average Number of Hours**:approx 37.5 hrs weekly ( not a guarantee of hours )
**Position Summary**:
- Responsible for preparation of accounts payable invoices, ensuring appropriate approvals have been obtained in accordance with CMH policies and matching to the purchase order
- Performs invoice entry confirming that the expenses are coded to the correct general ledger account
- Matches payment advice with supporting documentation and files invoices
- Process physician payments and associated month end accruals
- Reconciles accounts payable cash disbursements; performs other reconciliations as required.
- Assists in completion of month end and year end processes including accruals and aged payables
- Assists in the processing of the bi-weekly payroll and employee expense reimbursement
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Controller of Finance.
- The physical demands of the role may include but are not limited to prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing and pulling. This position contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in accounts payable and payroll is required.
- Successful completion of post-secondary diploma or equivalent experience is required.
- Extensive skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are required.
- Experience with Meditech financial system is an asset.
- Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) are required.
- Position demands the highest standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced and demanding environment.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines is essential.
- Regular attendance is required.- The successful external applicant is required to provide the applicable criminal record check, as requested by Human Resources, in accordance with federal and provincial legislation. Valid criminal record checks are in original format and dated with two months from date of conditional offer from CMH._
