**Social Media Coordinator - part-time, flexible**

The Burnt Tongue is a warm and welcoming restaurant with four locations across the Hamilton area. We offer salads, sandwiches, burgers, fries, and a wide selection of unique, made-from-scratch soups. Our one-of-a-kind Team is our most important ingredient - together, we strive to create memorable moments for each of our guests. We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative Social Media Coordinator who is looking to learn and grow with our business while increasing our brand’s digital marketing impact.

**What we’re looking for in our Social Media Coordinator**:

- Genuine interest in food and dining, with topical awareness of industry trends
- Creativity and a passion for social media and digital marketing
- Ability to self-motivate and excel while working independently
- Extensive knowledge and experience using Facebook, Instagram, and X
- Exceptional creative writing and proofreading skills, with scrupulous attention to detail
- Basic graphic design knowledge and experience
- Understanding of current marketing principles and best practices
- Ability to adapt based on findings from analysis of social media metrics
- A natural sense of humour and craving for having fun while working
- Photography and videography experience is preferred, but not required
- Education and/or experience in Marketing, Communications, or Social Media Management is preferred, but not required

**What our Social Media Coordinator is responsible for**:

- Assisting in the development and implementation of social media strategies to increase brand awareness and drive engagement
- Planning, creating, and publishing captivating content on Facebook, Instagram, and X
- Proofreading captions to ensure accuracy and effectiveness
- Collaborating with the Leadership Team to spread awareness of current menu offerings, promotions, and events
- Upholding brand standards and values while maintaining consistency across Burnt Tongue social media channels
- Assisting with seasonal menu photoshoots
- Presenting actionable insights based on analysis of social media metrics
- Regularly monitoring social media channels for industry-related trends and activity

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 5 per week
