Calgary, Canada Heritage Funeral Services Full time

Heritage Funeral Services, part of McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. With 11 sites in and around Calgary, and a team of 120+ staff members, this role offers plenty of variety in day-to-day tasks, a positive work culture, and a supportive team environment. We are a family-owned and operated business, having maintained our reputation as one of Calgary and Southern Alberta's most esteemed funeral homes since 1903.

**What You Will Do**:

- Recruitment and talent acquisition across all areas of the company
- Actively participate in employee meetings and foster a positive and inclusive work environment
- Regularly update the Employee Handbook to ensure all policies and procedures are current
- Administration of job offers and onboarding documentation, including data entry, file management, etc.
- Administration of employee uniform program including record keeping, inventory management, and provision of new pieces as required
- Managing employee milestones and eligibility for company benefits
- Work closely with department managers to support employee training needs, and performance appraisals
- Assist with payroll preparation, disability claims management, WCB paperwork, administration of training records, driving documentation, and compliance with industry accreditation standards and certifications

**What You Bring**:

- Professionalism, integrity, and a strong alignment with our company mission and values
- 2+ years of Human Resources experience along with HR related education
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative and respectful approach
- Knowledge of provincial employment legislation including Employment Standards, Human Rights, Privacy legislation, and HR best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and Google Docs
