We operate a residential facility as well as a day program that is dedicated to helping our residents live the fullest, most active lives possible. Our day program was created to provide progressive day supports to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in the community.

**Position Description**

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Review individual Information Sheets to fully understand the goals of the individuals we serve
- Responsible for ensuring the health and safety of the individual in your care
- Required to attend all mandatory training scheduled
- Assisting individual with snacks and/or meals
- Assisting individual with recreational/leisure activities
- Assisting individuals with personal hygiene needs
- Assisting with and/or documenting the progress/work on each of the individual on the daily report
- Reporting to supervisor and documenting any Injury/Incident Reports
- Maintains the program’s routines and structures to provide a safe, healthy, pleasant, professional environment for client
- Ensures safety by providing the level of supervision necessary for individual.
- Provides training, support, and assistance for individual to enable him/her to complete daily routines in a safe, healthy, productive and dignified manner. This usually includes social, vocational, and recreational skills, hygiene, toileting, etc.
- Encourages independence by providing both the opportunity and the appropriate levels of skill training for the individuals in categories such as community activities, vocational settings, volunteer work, social skills, etc.
- **Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Degree in PSW, Human Service Counsellor, or equivalent
- Relevant experience working with adults with developmental/intellectual disabilities (highly preferred)
- First Aid & CPR Certification
- SD Check
- Valid drivers license
