**POSITION OVERVIEW/PURPOSE**
Under the direction of managers for Environmental services and Plant services, the hospital service coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating patient services and administrative operations within the hospital to ensure a high standard of care and efficient hospital function. The incumbent role involves liaising between healthcare providers, and various departments to streamline services, resolve issues, and enhance the overall patient experience.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Act as first point of contact for departments providing dispatch assistance to customers and supporting the operations of both facilities and environmental services departments. Provide required administrative and clerical support to department, handling service requests, maintaining equipment maintenance records, and managing department supplies
- Maintain appropriate documentation, manuals, and records, as well as assist in the preparation of invoices for Finance processing.
- Coordinate the hospital lost and found inventory including actioning required communications, receive, catalogue and store items, disposing where necessary according to established guidelines and principles.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Manager or Director

**REQUIREMENTS**:
- High school diploma
- Two (2) years of Direct customer service experience
- Experience with an Electronic Health Record software
**PREFERRED**:
- Five (5) years of Direct customer service experience
- Certification in healthcare administration
- Experience with Electronic Health Record systems
