Junior or Intermediate Environmental Consultant

**Position Overview**:
SWAT Consulting Inc. is seeking a full-time _**Junior or Intermediate Environmental Consultant**_ to join our growing team in Leduc or Grande Prairie, Alberta. This is an excellent opportunity to build a rewarding career in environmental consulting, with hands-on experience and continuous learning.

In this role, you will assist with assessment, remediation, and monitoring work—primarily in support of emergency spill response and site closure activities. About 80% of your time will be spent in the field, with the remaining 20% in the office. You’ll collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team on diverse, fast-paced projects, often with tight, regulatory-driven deadlines.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support assessment, remediation and monitoring activities across Western Canada, primarily within Alberta.
- Complete field testing and sampling of soil, water and air with laboratory supplied materials.
- Prepare reporting deliverables such as Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Phase 2 ESAs, Spill Remediation, and Detailed Site Assessments (DSAs).
- Assist with the management of company equipment and supplies.
- Ensure the quality of field and office deliverables meet project and corporate standards.
- Communicate with the field and office leads about aspects of the project.
- Perform all assigned training and follow SWAT and client-specific safety policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:
The ideal applicant will:

- Have intermediate or advanced Microsoft Office skills are required (i.e., formulas, pivot tables, charts/graphs).
- Be proficient at data entry with speed and accuracy.
- Understand upstream oil and gas regulatory requirements including Alberta Tier 1 and 2 Guidelines and CCME Guidelines.
- Possess excellent teamwork skills to work positively and collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Be able to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills for building and maintaining positive working relationships and partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a safety mindset, critical thinking skills, strong attention to detail, and a focus on efficient task execution.
- Have a degree or technical diploma in an environmental discipline.
- Possess a valid Class 5 (non-GDL) driver’s licence.

Intermediate's will be evaluated in consideration of years and type of work experience.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
