**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Heavy Equipment Operation**:

- Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, and graders.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Safely and efficiently move materials, earth, and other heavy objects around construction sites.
- **Site Preparation**:

- Prepare construction sites by clearing land, leveling ground, and excavating areas for foundations, roads, and other structures.
- Follow detailed instructions from site supervisors to ensure precise and accurate work.
- Assist in setting up temporary structures, scaffolding, and other site-specific needs.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while operating equipment and working on-site.
- Participate in daily safety briefings and report any unsafe conditions or equipment malfunctions to supervisors immediately.
- Ensure that work areas are safe and free from hazards to protect yourself and other workers.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with other construction team members, including foremen, laborers, and skilled tradespeople, to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors regarding project progress and any issues that arise.
- Assist with manual labor tasks as needed when not operating equipment.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and any incidents that occur on-site.
- Submit daily reports to site supervisors detailing work completed and any challenges faced.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of [Insert Number] years of experience operating heavy equipment on construction sites.
- Valid operator’s license and certifications for the machinery being operated (e.g., excavator, bulldozer).
- Strong knowledge of construction site safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.

- Physical ability to perform tasks that require heavy lifting, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.

**Work Environment**:

- Work primarily takes place outdoors, with exposure to all weather conditions.
- Requires physical strength and stamina, including the ability to lift heavy objects and operate machinery for extended periods.
- May involve working at heights, in confined spaces, or with hazardous materials.

Pay: From $32.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (preferred)
