Front Desk Agent Halifax Tower Hotel

**Front Desk Operations**
- Greet and check-in/check-out guests.
- Process reservations, cancellations, and modifications.
- Handle room assignments, key distribution, and billing.
**Guest Relations**
- Serve as the primary contact for guest questions, concerns, and special requests.
- Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, transportation, and dining options.
- Resolve complaints promptly, escalating issues when necessary.
**Communication & Coordination**
- Liaise with housekeeping, maintenance, and management to ensure guest needs are met (room readiness, repairs, amenities).
- Maintain accurate records of guest interactions and service requests.
**Sales & Upselling**
- Promote hotel services and upgrades (e.g., stay packages, upgrades, dining).
- Assist in achieving revenue targets through upselling and cross-selling.
**Administrative Duties**
- Maintain accurate guest folios and process payments.
- Prepare reports such as occupancy, shift handovers, and incident logs.
- Follow hotel policies on safety, security, and compliance.
- **Front Desk Agent Requirements**:_
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving ability with a calm, professional demeanor.
- High school diploma or suitable equivalent.
- 1+ years front desk agent experience preferred.
- Well-groomed, professional appearance.
- Multitasking under pressure.
- A service mindset: empathy, patience, and attention to detail.
- Available to work shifts, over weekends, and on public holidays.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $16.50 per hour
