**Product Description Copywriter**

We’re a fashion retailer who’s been around for 38 years and recently entered the world of eCommerce We’re looking for a Copywriter to write copy and manage customer-facing initiatives. The Product Description Copywriter will be working out of our beautiful Head Office in Halifax, Nova Scotia with the growing E-Commerce team. This role also involves working alongside Marketing, Buying, IT, and Operations teams to help successfully grow our websites. We strongly believe that work should be both challenging and rewarding - we’re hoping you do too

When you aren’t focusing on the style guide, you’ll write other forms of content, such as: blog articles, marketing copy, advertising texts and various promotional content. Other responsibilities include proofreading, improving copy work and helping with anything copy-related across the business as needed.

**Responsibilities**:

- Write clear and compelling copy that sells product
- Work with Ecommerce and Marketing teams to craft copy for various initiatives and projects
- Understand how to identify, replicate and/or define brand voice
- Uses data-driven marketing to guide all copy decisions
- Thrives in a fast-paced work environment and meet tight deadlines
- Support ecommerce team and assist with web maintenance.

**Qualifications**:

- 1+ years of relevant experience writing copy, preferably in the fashion retail industry
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Marketing or Journalism
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Understanding of SEO and keyword research
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Keen interest in fashion
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$42,000.00 per year
