**About Mr. & Mrs. Bao / Position Overview**
Mr. & Mrs. Bao started off as a food truck in 2017 and was THE place for fusion comfort food on the go We wanted to continue sharing our passion for food and have opened up 4 restaurant locations in the past 2 years. As we continue to grow at an accelerated rate, we are looking for an infectiously cheerful, resourceful, and service-oriented **Restaurant Supervisor** to join our **Vaughan** team.
Reporting to both the owners and the Restaurant, this special individual will be responsible for both the back kitchen and front of house operations during their shift. This involves overseeing all aspects of food production, guest experience, as well as leading the team members. With plans to continue our expansion in the future, we value an individual who is flexible, willing to learn, and interested in growing with us. Finally, we pride ourselves on our restaurant culture, and the Restaurant Supervisor will be vital in maintaining the workplace as a safe and enjoyable for all our employees are guests.
**Requirements**:
- Previous supervising and/or management experience is an asset
- Experience in food and/or hospitality with a passion for quality food
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational skills in addition to a strong team-oriented mentality
- Innovative and flexible - we are growing quickly and want to hear your thoughts
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts
**Summary of Responsibilities**
Employee Management
- Fosters an environment with low turnover, high morale and an engaged employee base
- Committed to creating a safe and warm environment for all those who enter our restaurant
- Dedicated to the coaching and development of staff, with the ultimate goal of creating future supervisors
- Holds staff accountable to all procedures and standards set out by Mr. & Mrs. Bao
- Actively participates in team meetings while encouraging, actively including and listening attentively to others
Operations Management
- Maintains an inspection ready restaurant including kitchen, fridge and storage areas at all times
- Monitor stock levels to optimize profit and minimize waste when using food and supplies, communicating findings to Restaurant Manager / restaurant owners when needed
- Understand and assist with the prioritization of tasks for both the back kitchen and front of house, delegating to other team members when necessary
- Ensure proper food handling, temperature control / measurement practices are consistent with food and safety regulations
- Resolve guest and staff disputes if they arise, escalading to Restaurant Manager / restaurant owners as needed
- Collaborate with the team to run the line, ensuring 100% guest satisfaction
Health and Safety Management
- Proactively maintains logs, systems and best-practices within the kitchen to decrease risks to employee, guests and company assets
- Efficiently resolve any customer complaints or escalations related to food quality or allergies, diligently documenting each occurrence
- Follows and adapts to the changing COVID-19 guidelines to ensure we are keeping our staff and customers safe
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $15.50-$16.50 per hour
