What you’ll be doing
You will be responsible for
- Assist in managing, creating, and overseeing quality assurance practices and processes while maintaining quality assurance guidelines, results, and document libraries.
- Build and maintain quality standards in close collaboration with Application Developers & Business Analysts.
- Design and execute detailed test cases (both manual and automated) and testing tasks to verify compliance of internal quality standards and prove working, successful content for projects across the organization on various teams.
- Initiate, investigate and participate in corrective and preventative action.
- Communicate test progress, test results and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.
- Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of quality assurance best practices.
- Advocate for and practice continuous integration, continuous delivery, Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
- Have fun in a fast-paced work environment

What we need from you
- University Degree or College Diploma in relevant field or equivalent experience
- Strong communication skills, able to communicate in both technical and user-friendly language and experience in writing formal test plans and test cases.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, strong knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies and strong attention to detail.

What skills & experience you’ll bring to us
- Strong motivation, high level of commitment, and proactive and positive attitude.
- Familiarity with QA tools and techniques and bug-tracking systems
- Familiarity with modern web languages (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, etc.).
- Familiarity with C# & ASP.NET technologies.
- Demonstrated experience working in an Agile software development environment.
- Familiarity with core Agile events such as Stand-ups, Iteration Planning, Iteration Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product owners, testers, and other stakeholders.
- Frequent use of different test case methods - user stores, acceptance criteria, actual result vs. expected result, BDD style plans etc.
- Ability to travel between Canada and the USA up to 10% of the time if required.
