**Support Worker Position**

Seeking a reliable, engaging, outgoing, intuitive and community minded female to provide support to an outgoing young woman in exploring her interests in the community. Some of her interests include yoga, swimming, art, baking, sports, walking and photography. Having access to a reliable mode of transportation is an asset. There is flexibility as to the day and time. Although this is a short-term contract, there may be the possibility of a renewal.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Experience**:

- No PSW certification or diploma is required.
- Demonstrated experience in crisis/risk management and intervention skills are an asset.
- Proven experience of working with someone who has a disability, and their family may be beneficial.
- A collaborative approach toward, and experience in conflict resolution and risk management is helpful.
- Certification and training in CPR and First Aid are an asset.
- Applicant must be 18 years of age or older.
- Knowledge and understanding of and the impact of anxiety, PTSD and trauma on a person is valuable.

**Requirements**:

- Strong communication and problem-solving skills are required.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be required to provide a current and satisfactory criminal records check including a vulnerable sector search.
