**General Kinetics** is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of suspension components for military vehicles and off-highway machines used in the construction, material handling, forestry, mining, and agriculture markets.

The **Accounting Associate** position is ideal for detail-oriented, organized individuals who are interested in the wide-ranging responsibilities that are best offered by small organizations.

This position must report to our Brampton location. Company hours are:

- Monday-Thursday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
- Friday 7:00 am - 1:00 pm

**Position Responsibilities**
- _Review, verify and post supplier invoices in ERP systems._
- _Prepare customer invoices and shipping documents._
- _Prepare and process weekly electronic transfers and cheque runs._
- _Ensure that all accounts receivable balances are paid and continually work on resolving amounts _owed._
- _Issue and maintain international trade (USMCA) certificates and act as main point of contact for _information requests from brokers._
- _Process bi-weekly payroll for both hourly and salaried employees._
- _Calculate, reconcile and process WSIB remittances._
- _Calculate, reconcile and file HST returns._
- _Actively participate in month-end close processes, booking journal entries and providing _appropriate detail level review and analysis._
- _Assist in month-end reconciliation of balance sheet accounts._
- _Assist with the accurate and timely reporting of financial results._
- _Assist with year-end financial and other audits as required._
- _Manage purchase order system._
- _Order office and kitchen supplies._
- _Greet visitors, receive and distribute mail._
- _Other duties as assigned._

**Qualifications**:

- _Post-secondary degree or diploma with accounting focus._
- _Ideally working towards CPA designation._

**Skills**:

- _Excellent communication skills required, in particular when dealing with international customers _and suppliers._
- _Strong relationship building skills._
- _Keen attention to detail is a must._
- _High degree of organizational and time management skills._
- _Strong analytical and problem-solving skills._

**Competencies**:

- _High level of professionalism and the ability to deal effectively with all levels in the organization._
- _Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment._
- _Able to take initiative and work independently._
- _Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)_
- _Ability to multi-task and work under pressure._
- _Flexible and able to work effectively as a team player._
