**About the Role**

We are seeking a Junior Field Specialist to join our dynamic team for a temporary position. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and are interested in gaining experience in the telecommunications industry. As a Junior Field Specialist, you will play a crucial role in collecting and analyzing data for our fiber optic communication network projects.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct field work in various environments (urban and rural) to collect GPS and other relevant data for telephone poles, civil structures, and utilities
- Utilize mobile devices and survey tools to gather accurate information
- Work together with team leads and managers to complete assigned tasks efficiently
- Analyze and interpret outside plant infrastructure data
- Maintain clear communication with team members working in adjacent areas
- Adhere to and promote safety protocols and operational procedures

**Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent; current enrollment in a related post-secondary program is a plus
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work effectively outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions in the field
- Good physical fitness, able to perform active tasks and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment

**Nice to Haves**
- Personal vehicle. We reimburse mileage for work.
- Previous experience in field work or outdoor data collection (preferred but not required)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or extended days
- Basic understanding of GPS and mobile data collection tools
