Driver Coordinator/planner

**The Opportunity**:
The **Driver Coordinator/Planner (Days)**is the main point of contact between the backbone of the transportation industry (our AZ Drivers) and the organization. This role is responsible for effectively coordinating a group of drivers to success through continual communication from the shipment pick-up to delivery and ensuring the appropriate internal departments (i.e. Customer Service, Breakdown, Customs) are aware of any updates.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday from** 7:00am to 4:00pm**

**A Day in the Life**:

- Planning trucks effectively to reduce empty miles; managing the empty miles ratios
- Dispatches trucks on planned loads; tracks dispatched trucks on a daily basis to ensure on-time performance
- Works with Driver Coordinators to achieve driver needs and goals
- Implement efficient equipment utilization
- Monitors and maintains customer trailer pools
- Responds to and resolving driver inquiries in a professional and respectful manner.
- Assists Customer Service Department with any customer inquiries regarding the shipment.
- Ensures the dispatch plan is executed effectively and collaborates with our Planners on redesign.
- Participates in driver retention initiatives including data collection, root cause analysis and mediation.
- Ensures integrity of data in our system including ETAs, driver availability, projected late shipments, etc.
- Performs other duties as required
