**About Furniture Bank**
Furniture Bank is a national furniture and home essentials reuse social enterprise powered charity that has been striving to end furniture poverty for over 25 years. Our mission is to transfer gently used furniture and household goods from donors to individuals and families in crisis. We support a diverse group of beneficiaries, ranging from women and children leaving shelters to the formerly homeless, Indigenous communities, those struggling with mental health, and many more.
**About the Role**
**Responsibilities**
- Assist in developing and implementing marketing and sustainability initiatives.
- Support the creation and design of engaging content for our online platforms and other marketing materials.
- Measure, track, and report on performance in areas such as carbon foot printing, furniture waste, and waste diversion.
- Communicate and market sustainability campaigns to internal and external stakeholders.
- Product educational content for the Furniture Bank learning center around furniture waste, furniture removal, downsizing, sustainability and social impact.
- Support the development and implementation of promotional and fundraising materials.
- Assist with coordination and projects related to national Furniture Bank Network (FBN) that could include event coordination, surveys or interviews, blog posts, and developing relationships with local organizations and charities.
- Conduct consumer research to further define opportunities within the national furniture banking sector.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
**Skills & Capabilities Needed**
- Enrolled in post-secondary education in a related field (Marketing, Business, Sustainability, Environmental Management, etc.).
- Passionate about creating impactful change in our environments and communities.
- Required digital skills for accomplishing tasks. This includes:
- Analysis - MS Office or Google Apps (Excel & Sheets in particular).
- Content - Canva, digital content writing tools, web surveys
- Communication - social media tools, and content management systems (Wordpress).
- Bonus points - experience with Hubspot, Salesforce, Tableau, and other visualization tools
- Exceptional communications and written skills.
- Highly detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
**Job Types**: Seasonal, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 4 months
**Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
