We are growing and looking for detail-oriented Estimator with experience in docks, lifts and marine construction to join our team.
**Position Overview**
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate, timely cost estimates for dock systems, boat lifts, and related waterfront projects. This role involves interpreting project requirements, conducting site assessments, collaborating with our sales and installation teams, and providing customers with professional, well-documented proposals.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Review drawings, site photos, surveys, and customer requirements to prepare detailed cost estimates
- Conduct on-site evaluations when necessary to assess conditions, measurements, and installation factors
- Generate material take-offs, labor estimates, and project timelines
- Prepare professional proposals and review them with customers and internal teams
- Collaborate with engineering, sales and installations departments to ensure alignment of project scope
- Maintain pricing databases, vendor relationships, and product knowledge related to docks and lifts
- Track project costs and adjust estimates as needed based on changes in scope
- Support the sales process by answering technical or pricing related questions
**Qualifications**
- Experience in dock and lift estimating, marine construction or related field
- Strong knowledge of dock systems, boat lifts, materials, and installation processes
- Proficiency with estimating software, CAD tools, or technical drawing review (asset but not required)
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and site plans
- Valid driver's license for site visits

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
