Duties
- Assist with launching, docking, and securing boats safely and efficiently, ensuring all equipment is properly rigged and maintained
- Support the preparation of fishing gear, including rigging rods, reels, and tackle setups to meet guest needs
- Conduct routine mechanical checks on boats and equipment, troubleshooting minor issues to ensure optimal performance
- Help guide guests during fishing trips by sharing knowledge about local fish species, techniques, and safety protocols
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dock area, ensuring all safety standards are met at all times
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate daily schedules, boat assignments, and guest logistics
- Follow safety procedures diligently and communicate effectively during all operational activities
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with boat maintenance and troubleshooting minor technical issues
- Experience or familiarity with rigging fishing gear and handling marine equipment
- Excellent communication skills to engage with guests confidently and professionally
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with energy and enthusiasm
- Quick learner with a proactive attitude toward safety procedures and operational tasks
- Team-oriented mindset that thrives in a lively, fast-paced environment
