Controller

The Controller is a key member of the management team. They are responsible for ensuring JMP’s financial systems are developed across all business lines and align with the company’s growth plans. This role sets expectation for finance and accounting excellence in all business units. They will develop, lead and manage the various Accounting functions and their team. The Controller will also provide insight into business operations and trends for executive decision making.

**What Would a Typical Day Look Like?**
- Prepare, Review and Manage the month-end process of the companies and review with the Finance Director for submission
- Maintain the Company's Cash Flow projections and planning utilizing the existing Cash Flow management procedures and taking ownership of banking activities.
- Oversee the functions of A/P, A/R, Credit, and Invoicing to meet the goals and objectives of the organization. Co-ordinate the Accounting Department activities through weekly communication meetings and reviews
- Facilitate and manage the provincial and state sales tax submissions
- Work with Project Managers to develop an acceptable cash flow for opportunities to facilitate cash flow requirements in conjunction with the Director of Finance
- Manage employee expense reports on a regular basis for reasonability
- Manage the company's insurance requirements and maintain policies in place
- Participate in the audit function; co-ordinate and oversee the year-end process under the direction of the Director of Finance
- Oversee the day-to-day aspects of the Accounting Department

**What Qualifies You for this Opportunity?**
- CPA designation required
- 10 years industry experience in a leadership role
- Outstanding leader with experience mentoring employees of various skill and experience levels
- Well organized, detail oriented, enthusiastic, confident attitude towards work
- Outstanding listening, written and oral communication skills
- Works well with a variety of different people from diverse backgrounds
- A self-starter with a highly energetic, results oriented work style
- Experienced with process improvement
- An ability to travel within US and Canada
