**Summary**:
We are currently recruiting for a Procurement Coordinator for our VMS Strategic Supply team. You will be reporting to the Strategic Supply Manager, VMS and will be responsible to ensure uninterrupted supply of material, evaluating material requirements and sourcing/purchasing the product to meet customer specifications and requirements, and maintaining relationships with key suppliers to ensure delivery commitments are met. As an integral component of our sales operations, collaboration across Sales, Services and Distribution will be essential.

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Coordination of supplier price and delivery quotes for requested product or material.
- Source and purchase electrical, instrument and mechanical products, materials and services from suppliers to meet production and/or customer delivery timeframe.
- Identify and communicate any material issues for active quotes/projects/orders and report issues/concerns to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Liaison between suppliers, sales and production team in regard to material arrival dates.
- Expedite to the required production or customer required date.
- Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers and internal customers.
- Analyze current procurement methods and initiate continuous improvement processes to maximize efficiency, such as consolidate purchase orders.
- Explore alternate sources of supply and negotiate supplier agreements, discounts, rebates where possible.
- Develop and maintain preferred supplier list

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Minimum Grade 12 education
- Purchasing or Supply Chain Diploma or commensurate level of experience required
- Procurement experience, an asset
- Ability to build strong relationships
- Exceptional and extensive communication and negotiating skills
- Previous SAP experience considered an asset
- Proven Microsoft Office skills, with an emphasis on Excel
- Demonstrated ability sourcing electrical and instrumentation materials
- Extensive and exceptional customer service habits and practices
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail, focus on accuracy and quality of work
- Self-starter with ability to work effectively independently and in team environment
- Demonstrated ability to work proactively in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and internal customers
- Entrepreneurial work ethic
