Riverview Health Centre Foundation has an amazing opportunity for a caring, creative, and highly organized fundraiser to join our team as our **Development Officer**.

**Who we are, what we do and how we help**:
Riverview Health Centre Foundation raises funds in support of Riverview Health Centre, a 387-bed facility located on 25 acres of riverfront parkland on the banks of the Red River in the picturesque Riverview neighborhood. It is home to a variety of programs that meet the health care needs of Manitobans including progressive programming for patients and residents in hospital and personal care home units, as well as outpatient and community programs. Riverview Health Centre provides innovation through education and state of the art research activities, including virtual reality programs and dementia assessment and treatment.

**Here’s where you come in**:
Riverview Health Centre Foundation is seeking someone who will actively create and build a strong donor experience through storytelling, high-quality, meaningful communications, and strong management of fundraising programs. Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Development Officer is a highly organized and creative individual, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines while working collaboratively with colleagues and other stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage and grow a portfolio of mid to major gift prospects by identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors.
- Support the development and execution of annual fundraising strategies, including major gifts, sponsorships, and donor campaigns.
- Lead the preparation and submission of grant and foundation proposals.
- Develop compelling donor communications, including impact reports and stewardship materials.
- Build strong relationships with donors, sponsors, and community stakeholders to advance major and planned giving opportunities.
- Assist in identifying and securing sponsorships for fundraising events and initiatives.
- Stay informed on philanthropic trends, donor motivations, and charitable giving tax advantages.
- Maintain accurate records of donor interactions, proposals, and communications in the donor database.
- Collaborate with the Riverview Health Centre team, including medical staff and leadership, to align fundraising goals with organizational priorities.
- Represent the Foundation at events and community activities to increase awareness and support.
- Provide regular progress updates and manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

**Experience**
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Communications, Non-Profit Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience in fundraising and donor relations, with a demonstrated ability to secure major gifts — preferably in the healthcare or non-profit sector.
- Proven experience developing and implementing fundraising strategies, donor engagement, and sponsorship support.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a wide range of stakeholders.
- Confident public speaker with experience representing organizations in both formal and informal settings.
- High level of financial and language literacy with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in CRM systems; experience with donor platforms such as Raiser’s Edge is considered an asset.
- CFRE designation is considered an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships.
- Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
