If you’d like to learn more about our Digital Banking career opportunities, explore our Communities of Practice, or hear from our leaders, check out our Technology at Scotia career page. **Overview** We are looking for individuals who will work as a member of a dynamic Agile team developing lending solutions for retail customers of Scotiabank. **Is this role right for you?** - You will maintain thorough understanding of Retail Lending Systems capabilities, gaps and opportunities. - You will provide analytic support in the development and implementation of strategic plans. - You will assist in the review and evaluation of business initiatives, product and projects with respect to Retail Lending Systems and formulate insightful guidance and input to business leaders. - Ensure accuracy and effectiveness of Scotia Plan Loan systems and drive periodic enhancements as needed. - You will work with project team to refine technical requirements and guidance based on industry best practices. - You will participate in estimation and planning of development efforts required for various projects and enhancements. - You will participate in regular code reviews for release activities. - You will lead the implementation efforts for implementations of code to production. - You will support Operations and Accounting Teams, Managing Service Now Queues tasks and incidents. - You will participate in production issue analysis and perform root cause analysis for production issues and implementation issues. - You will assist the product owners and business analysts in discovering the current system behavior and provide recommendations on improving the current system. **Do you have the knowledge & skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline. - You have 7-10 years of work-related experience within the Financial Services Industry. - You have experience in consumer banking products (credit, deposit) - Specialized knowledge of Automotive Lending would be an asset. - Strong and proven analytical skills - Strong working knowledge of data mining tools - Strong technical solution management experience and skills - Ability to work autonomously under tight timelines - Ability to work in a dynamic environment where processes and procedures are consistently refined - Strong capability to work with senior business leaders - Strong verbal, written and communication skills - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills **What's in it for you?** - We have an inclusive and collaborative working environment that encourages learning, training, skills development, curiosity, and celebrates success - We offer a competitive total rewards package that includes a base salary, a performance bonus, company matching programs (on pension & profit sharing), 4 weeks of vacation, personal & sick days, personal development funding, maternity leave top-up, parental leave and much more. - A rewarding career path with diverse opportunities for professional development. - Internal development to support your growth and enhance your skills. - An organization committed to making a difference in our communities - for you and our customers. - We have an inclusive and collaborative working environment that encourages creativity, curiosity, and celebrates success LI-Hybrid Location(s): Canada : Ontario : Scarborough Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
