This position is responsible for managing the supply chain and procurement process to obtain the overall inventory of product for sale at Westward Parts Services Ltd, ensuring competitive pricing, on-time delivery and quality compliance.

**PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**

**The following are the main job responsibilities and priorities that this position must focus on, must achieve and must excel at**:

- Establish and implement objectives for the sourcing, procurement and pricing of goods for Westward Parts Services Ltd. Meet overall supply chain management objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing budgets and ensuring goals are met, analyzing variances and resolving issues.
- Directs the procurement process following established business processes and standardized purchasing tools to ensure efficiency in obtaining inventory. Continuously monitor and review best practices to increase productivity and reduce purchasing costs.
- Provide overall leadership in the sourcing and pricing of products for a group of vendors. Manage diverse vendor relationship and oversee the vendor relationships of other buyers. Meet with suppliers to identify new products for purchase. Establish pricing guidelines that are competitive and determine annual pricing for re-sale for vendor group of products. Maintain accuracy of information in annual catalogue. Provide assistance to internal stakeholders to resolve issues if errors occur and assist others with purchase orders.
- Lead and direct a team of staff including, hiring, delegating and scheduling work, managing performance and expectations, making compensation decisions and administering policies and procedures.
- Ensure staff is well trained, provided with the tools required to complete work, and encouraged to develop skills. Train or provide training to team members.
- Actively work on strategies to promote staff engagement and problem solving. Follow through as appropriate to ensure positive outcomes for all stakeholders.
- Complete employment forms for staff including, but not limited to, payroll, timesheets, vacation approvals, etc.
- Other Responsibilities as Required

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 5 - 10 years of relevant purchasing experience in manufacturing, agriculture or supply chain management, or equivalent. Sales and customs experience an asset.
- Post-secondary education and/or professional designation specializing in business, purchasing management, agriculture or equivalent.
- Ability to lead and motivate others.
- Detail oriented with the ability to work with numbers and calculations for pricing.
- Thorough understanding of inventory principles and protocol.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Must be organized with excellent time management skills.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
