**_Western Energy Services Corp.,_** _is hiring a _**_HR Advisor_**_ _**_to join our team in our Calgary location_

Western Energy Services Corp. is an oilfield service company which provides contract drilling services through Horizon Drilling in Canada and Stoneham Drilling Corporation in the United States. In addition, Western provides well servicing through Eagle Well Servicing in Canada, and provides rental services through Aero Rental Services in Canada.

**Position Summary**:
As the HR Advisor reporting directly to the VP of HR & HSE, this role will provide comprehensive oversight and support for Human Resources. The HR Advisor will focus on administrative support, data analysis, and reporting. This role will also be responsible for configuring forms and reports within the HRIS (Dayforce). The HR Advisor will also be responsible for reviewing and updating policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labour standards and industry regulations.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Become proficient in the HRIS (Dayforce) and act as an internal resource for system related inquiries.
- Perform data entry, maintenance, and updates in the HRIS as required.
- Analyze and report HR data, including headcount, turnover, and HR trends to provide insights for strategic decision-making.
- Serve as an internal resource, responding promptly to employee HR inquiries.
- Prepare HR related reports on a regular basis, ensuring data accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist with the research, planning, and execution of various HR initiatives.
- Act as the backup for all Long Term Incentive reporting.
- Provide guidance and support to hiring managers regarding recruiting issues and procedures.
- Advise and assist department managers on the interpretation and administration of policies, programs and best practices.
- Research and draft HR-related policies and processes.
- Assist in updating job descriptions in alignment with company standards.
- Handle HR-related confidential administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with the HSE department to assist with management of HSE tracking programs and databases, ensuring accurate documentation and proper controls of HSE materials.
- Participate in special projects as assigned. Perform other related duties as required.**Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- 3+ years progressively more responsible human resources experience.
- Strong knowledge of employment standards in the Western provinces.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Self-starter with high degree of initiative.
- Strong research skills and ability to source HR-related information.
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills; able to prioritize tasks with mínimal supervision.
- Comfortable presenting to groups.
- Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a solid understanding of the importance of customer service.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally and tactfully.
- Ability to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
- Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures.

**Special Conditions of Employment**:

- Occasional travel required to field office locations
