At Suncorp Valuations, everything we do is designed to achieve our Customer Brand Promise of ON TIME, CREDIBLE and PROFESSIONAL. We do this by hiring the very best employees and providing them with performance based rewards, the tools to do their job, and a culture built on respect and collaboration; they do the rest
WHAT YOU WILL DO
In collaboration with the Professional Services team, you will provide Appraisal Reports (value estimates) and Insurance Appraisals (cost estimates) on a wide variety of buildings, and machinery & equipment in locations across Canada and on occasion globally. Through site inspections, research, expert analysis and collaboration, you will develop a solid and defensible rationale for the final value assigned to a property. You may assist with training of junior staff and perform quality control reviews of reports. This is a home-based position in Quebec and requires 30-40% regional and national travel and occasional international travel.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You are proactive, with a desire to drive results and exceed goals. You are self-directed and able to work both independently and as part of a team. You enjoy building and maintaining positive and professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You are naturally client-focused and committed to providing high levels of service to meet our brand promise of ON TIME, CREDIBLE and PROFESSIONAL. You can easily manage multiple projects and provide precise attention to detail. You are proficient with MS Office and databases. You are able and willing to travel regionally, nationally and internationally and have a valid passport, valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
**You have the following credentials**:
- Full proficiency in reading, writing and oral instructions in English and French. Proficiency in additional language(s) is an asset;
- Post-secondary education;
- An American Society of Appraisal (ASA) professional designation in the Machinery & Technical Specialties field, or working towards an ASA designation; or an Appraisal Institute of Canada AACI professional designation in the Machinery & Equipment appraisal field, or working towards the AACI designation.
- Experience training and mentoring others is an asset;
- Relevant experience with project management is an asset;
- A combination of education, experience and designations(s) will be considered.
