Agropur is looking for a Maintenance Planner & Scheduler to join is Truro team.
The Maintenance Planner & Scheduler is responsible for the effective execution of all maintenance work control processes. Performing in a lead capacity, incumbents are required to develop a safe, effective, and efficient work control plan through proper planning and scheduling of work for various crafts. His work is primarily focusing on maximizing the overall wrench time of the maintenance crew.
The Maintenance Planner & Scheduler is expected to monitor the technical performance of the CMMS and make any necessary adjustments to ensure that best-in-class standardized usage practices are followed.

- Salary range 004: 67 700$ to 84 600$ (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position.)
**What’s involved in this role**:
More specifically, the Truro Maintenance Planner & Scheduler responsibilities will include:
- Prioritize and schedule work based on criticality, resource availability, and production needs.
- Review work orders for accuracy and assign priorities.
- Develop and manage maintenance schedules, ensuring clear communication with all teams and maximizing resource usage.
- Monitor and update work backlog and adjust work orders as needed.
- Organize required information (manuals, drawings, etc.) and prepare requisitions in CMMS.
- Ensure availability of materials, tools, and labor before scheduling work.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to manage spare parts and inventory accuracy.
- Maintain job plan library and update based on technician feedback.
- Estimate labor, materials, and skills for all work, including complex projects.
- Maintain asset registers and monitor corrective actions from preventive maintenance.
- Prepare reports with recommendations and track maintenance performance.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance team efficiency.
**What you need to join our team**:
- Diploma in maintenance, electromechanics, mechanical engineering or other relevant training.
- Minimum of five (5) years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in maintenance planning or scheduling experience.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing (an asset).
- Proficiency in maintenance management software (CMMS, SAP PM) is required.
- Ability to analyze data and trends to optimize maintenance schedules and improve equipment reliability.
