What you will do:
Player One Amusement Group (P1AG) seeks a Director, Financial Reporting for their Mississauga headquarters. Reporting to the ED of Finance, this position is responsible for the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of consolidated financial reporting and analysis of the company’s performance while managing a team of direct and indirect reports. This role also supports the budget and forecasting processes and will act as the day-to-day contact with the external auditors and tax preparers.

P1AG employs over 400 people in 21 offices throughout Canada and the United States. One of North America’s leading providers of interactive video, redemption, amusement gaming and vending equipment, it specializes in solution servicing and design for a wide range of customers in the theatrical exhibition vertical as well as community-based entertainment destinations such as bowling centers, restaurants, arcades, shopping centers and water parks.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the month-end close and financial reporting processes, including assigning and reviewing the work of the team, ensuring that proper accruals are booked, and that the financial statements are properly recorded under GAAP accounting.
- Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of all financial and management reporting, including the preparation, analysis and communication of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and the preparation of the MD&A and notes to the financial statements.
- Ensure the appropriate internal controls and financial procedures to support our business growth and safeguard the assets of the Company.
- Support the filing of the compliance certificate, 13-week cash flow, financial planning processes, monthly forecasts, and annual budget.
- Day-to-day coordination of annual audits and income tax filings
- Oversee the sales taxes, amusement licences and Governmental reporting in Canada and USA
- Drive the automation, process improvement and data enablement to support the team to complete close, reconciliation and financial reporting in a timely and accurate manner. Act as SME for the ERP conversion
- Lead, coach and mentor direct and indirect reports

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education with a focus on accounting required
- Professional accounting designation (CPA)
- 3+ years in a senior accounting role
- GAAP expertise
- Purchase accounting experience is a plus
- ERP implementation experience preferred
- Experience with USA sales taxes
- Experience managing a team in a hybrid environment
- Strong customer service, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
