**Position Summary**
Rafiki Hamilton is looking for a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a **Part-Time Community Engagement Worker**. This role is crucial for connecting with community members, promoting our programs, and coordinating engaging activities. It's an ideal position for someone who is passionate about community building and has a flexible schedule.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Program Coordination**: Plan, organize, and facilitate a variety of workshops and events. This includes managing logistics, securing resources, and ensuring a positive environment for all participants.
- **Community Outreach**: Promote Rafiki Hamilton's programs and services by attending local events, setting up information booths, and networking with other organizations.
- **Community Partnerships**: Build and maintain relationships with local shelters and community centers to distribute flyers and other promotional materials.
- **Administrative Support**: Assist with administrative tasks such as tracking attendance, maintaining client records, and preparing reports.
- **Flexible Schedule**: This position requires working during afternoon hours and **may require working on Saturdays or Sundays as needed** to support events.
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a community-based role, preferably in a non-profit setting.
- **Bilingualism is required.** The ability to communicate fluently in both English and French is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is considered an asset.
