Hyatt Place Ottawa West is seeking an Assistant General Manager to join our multi award winning, diverse team. In this role, the Assistant General Manager creates and maintains a customer-driven hotel with a vision that inspires the associates to do their best. Oversee the quality process to ensure customer satisfaction by consistent delivery of both product quality and service in accordance with hotel's profitability goals. The role is responsible for supporting all aspects of the operation including guest and employee satisfaction, human resources, financial performance, sales and revenue generation and delivering a return on investment. They will assist the General Manager in leading the team in the development and implementation of property-wide strategies and service delivery.

**Required Skills and Abilities**
- Strong desire to continuously improve and help others improve
- 3-5 years experience in leadership role within a select or full service hotel, ideally in the Rooms/Front Office division.
- Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom require a high level of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information and resolve conflicts
- Opera experience is a PLUS.
- Working knowledge of financial/accounting procedures
