**Job description**

**KEY Responsibilities**

**Project Coordination/Team Leadership**

Oversees hiring, training, engagement and wellness for the team of Youth Facilitators; building an effective team of leaders to develop and deliver programs

Becomes a community advocate; is involved in relevant stakeholder group committees

Builds or strengthen relationships at all levels of School Boards as required

Supports all committee work and program development and delivery

**Qualifications**

**Education & Training**
- College or university education in counselling or wellness area or other related field or related experience

**Experience**
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory role, ideally in a youth engagement setting
- Superior knowledge of, and experience working with, any of the following populations: youth facing barriers, BIPOC, 2SLGBTQ+ populations, and youth with challenges related to neurodivergence, mental health and addictions
- Project management experience preferred

**Skills & Knowledge**
- In-depth knowledge of youth mental health and equity-related issues
- Strong leadership and management skills including the ability to motivate, delegate, coach/mentor, and empower team members
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills
- Skilled at being open, comfortable, non-judgmental, and non-stigmatizing
- Strong personal ethics and integrity
- Ability to work independently; taking initiative, making decisions, and organizing time and workload effectively
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication with all levels of staff, clients and the public
- Proficient with computers using MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and other software programs needed to produce documents, reports, databases, presentations and communication vehicles for staff training and development.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and healthy boundaries

Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle and insurance at $2,000,000 liability

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37 - 42 per week
