**Key Responsibilities**
- Conducting client intake, opening files, and keeping files up-to-date and organized.
- Scheduling client meetings, managing lawyer’s calendar, and coordinating all related documentation and logistics.
- Drafting and preparing pleadings, litigation disclosure, and other court documents.
- Managing all incoming and outgoing communications, including mail, faxes, and basic inquiries from clients, lawyers, adjusters, etc.
- Transcribing dictations, preparing and filing court documents, correspondence, and other legal paperwork.
- Requesting, organizing, and managing necessary documentation, such as discovery, undertakings, medical records, etc.
- Reviewing, analyzing, and flagging relevant information in file documents for lawyer review.
- Assisting lawyer with contacting and interviewing witnesses.
- Monitoring and tracking all civil procedure deadlines.
- Updating clients on case status, handling billing and invoicing.
- Processing file settlements and closing files.
- Assisting other Personal Injury team members as needed.

**What You Bring**
- **Experience**:Graduate of a Legal Assistant/Paralegal diploma program with 1-3 years of experience, or equivalent combination of training and experience. Knowledge of personal injury and/or insurance law, and court procedures a strong asset.
- **Skills**:Excellent proofreading, time management, organizational, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- **Mindset**:**Critical thinker, problem solver, self-motivated, detail oriented, and a team player with a positive attitude excited to contribute to a collaborative culture.
- **Tech Proficiency**:**Adept at using technology such as Outlook and the full Microsoft Office suite, with a talent for learning new computer programs quickly.
