Bar Manager/bartender

**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Assist in food preparation as needed, demonstrating knowledge of food handling and safety practices
- Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies when necessary to ensure bar is well-stocked
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, and addressing any concerns promptly
- Train new staff members on bar operations, customer service standards, and safety protocols
- Collaborate with management on menu development, budgeting, and promotional events
- Supervise bar staff during shifts to ensure smooth operations and adherence to company policies

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a bartending or restaurant role is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of mixology, cocktail recipes, and beverage trends
- Experience with cash handling and operating POS systems
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong leadership skills with experience in team management or supervising staff
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food service management
- Culinary experience or background in kitchen management is beneficial
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
