Family Practice in Hamilton is looking for a Medical Receptionist
- **Oscar EMR experience**

**The responsibilities will include**:

- Greet patients, validate health cards, and accurately obtain demographics
- Schedule appointments and follow-up visits
- Direct patients to exam rooms and assist with basic vitals as needed
- Exam room set up, maintenance and organization
- Process electronic and paper documents (faxing, mailing, scanning) and maintain confidentiality
- Facilitate communication between physicians and patients with appropriate documentation
- Manage referrals and specialist appointments
- Minimum of 2 year of experience in Family Medicine Office Administration(MUST)**:

- Passion for helping patients.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Excellent Triaging skills
- Medical Office Diploma or Certificate MUST**:

- Knowledge of office procedures and medical terminology
- Previous experience of IM injections would be an asset.
- OHIP and third party billing experience preferred but not required.
- A college/post-secondary education would be an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Hamilton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (required)

**Experience**:

- medical clinic: 2 years (required)
