Medical Receptionist

**Overview**
**Duties**
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Manage multi-line phone systems to answer calls, schedule appointments, and address patient inquiries.
- Maintain patient records by accurately entering information into electronic medical records systems such as Epic or Dentrix.
- Verify patient insurance information and assist with billing inquiries as needed.
- Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers to ensure timely follow-ups and care continuity.
- Ensure the front desk area is organized, clean, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and managing correspondence.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a medical or dental office is preferred.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems; experience with Epic or Dentrix is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication with healthcare professionals.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with office procedures and administrative tasks, including managing front desk operations.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
