**Job Description**:
What you can expect in a typical day
The Senior Manager requires a full understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation related to all aspects of employee, illnesses / injuries, disabilities, accommodations, and provides important data to internal stakeholders that's supports employee safety, wellness, and health.

Your roles and responsibilities:

- Develops and implements an integrated disability management program.
- Develops and implements corresponding policies and procedures; oversees the implementation and compliance of industry standards; provides interpretation and advice on disability and leaves management.
- Formulates and implements preventative strategies for developing and enhancing employee health and wellness programs.
- Advises and recommends solutions relating to employee accommodations.
- Develops and manages return to work programs.
- Manages Short Term and Long-Term Disability as well as Workers’ Compensation Board claims and reporting.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable legislation and regulations.
- Develops and monitor KPIs, leverage insights, identify trends and risks to develop solutions and lead the implementation of initiatives for the continuous improvement of both the disability and accommodation programs.
- Plan and develop in partnership with our occupational health team, internal educational campaigns and activities related to Health & Safety and Wellness.
- Manages a team of professionals and fosters their development.

Professional skills
- An established leader with 10 plus years’ experience in disability management with a great track record of success in achieving targets in a results driven culture.
- An experienced leader/people manager who is able to lead, motivate and inspire a high performing team to maximize results
- Self-motivated and can work in a fast paced environment.
- Highly skilled communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- High levels of accuracy with excellent attention to detail.
- SME knowledge of legislation and principles pertaining to disability management/support, worker's compensation, return to work and accommodation.
- Ability to influence change and are committed to continuous improvement.
- Effective team player who shares knowledge to support your peers.

Travel
- Travel is not a requirement for this position.

Education and experience
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership, management, supervisory, or coaching role with responsibility to guide team performance
- Extensive experience of continual process improvement, review and recommendations.
- Strong relationship management with direct reports and internal stakeholders
- Extensive experience in working cross-functionally in delivering significant business change.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Leading and managing a team including development, performance management, succession planning and leading change.
- Critical thinking skills to identify problems and proactively propose solutions.
- Disability Management certification
