Product Applications Specialist
- Assist customers with product selection to achieve design goals for projects around the world.
- Generate performance data for standard products and estimate performance for non-standard products.
- Review specifications for project compliance and provide recommendations for alternates when specifications requirements cannot be fulfilled.
- Support company training initiatives by creating and presenting training materials online and at in-person events.
- Participate, as required, in company events to support the promotion of the company, products and industry initiatives at Price facilities or in the field.
- Coordinate product samples for customer displays, trade shows, technical centers and training sessions.
- Contribute to technical committees with applicable professional associations to help influence codes and standards.
- Support quoting of non-standard products and provide guidance on selecting the most cost-effective products to achieve project requirements.
- Provide troubleshooting assistance to resolve installation issues virtually or through on-site visits, when required.
- Communicate customer feedback to the engineering team to help guide product development initiatives.
- Assess quality concerns and assist in developing acceptable and suitable corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Marketing group to develop and maintain product literature in both printed and electronic format.
- Work with Software team to support the development and maintenance of all Price software and electronic resources.
- Any other duties as required to support the company and the products.
- A degree or diploma in Engineering or Business Administration from a Canadian accredited educational institution.
- Team-based attitude, eager to cooperate with others and exceptional interpersonal communication skills.

- Ability to readily travel locally and internationally for on-site support, training and collaboration.
- Ability to change directions and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis.
- Strong financial discipline and understanding of economic structure within a business.
- Aptitude to work in both imperial and metric units of measurement.
- High level of initiative and motivation to simultaneously handle complex procurement assignments in a team environment.
- Ability to positively motivate individuals and teams to meet or exceed project expectations.
**Additional assets for this position include**:
- Basic knowledge and experience with Solid Works or other 3D CAD software.
- Understanding of building construction codes and safety standards (ex. UL, ASME, ANSI, ASHRAE, NFPA, NBCC, etc.).
- Training in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, quality or safety.
- Exposure to product design, HVAC manufacturing methods and sheet metal fabrication equipment.
- Experience in factory setting or with manufactured goods.
- Familiarity with aluminum extrusions, roll formed parts or sheet metal/coil.
