**Position Summary**:The Cash Applications Specialist supports the Accounts Receivable Manager in recording client payments in appropriate accounts, researching, identifying, and resolving complex payment discrepancies and answering client inquiries as needed.

**Responsibilities**:

- Processes and reconciles account receivables accounts via received remittances.
- Performs periodic reconciliations of customer account statements.
- Creates Cash Worksheet to accurately track financial information.
- Identifies and reports payment discrepancies and balance account payment issues to assigned collector.
- Identifies and resolves root-causes of recurring disputes and delinquent payments, working with assigned collector to resolve.
- Ability to process all payment types (ACH, Wires, Online Processors, Credit Cards, Checks, etc.) with high degree of accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail.
- Assists and works cooperatively with other departments, as necessary, in handling inquiries and requests and in resolving customer complaints.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-Secondary education in finance, accounting or equivalent field required.
- Minimum 1 year of Cash Application experience in an Accounts Receivable environment
- Sound knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy
- Ability to analyze large sets of data.
- Excellent customer service skills

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
