gravitypope is looking for the right individual to fill the key role of Shipping & Receiving Lead at our Vancouver Kitsilano shoe store. The Shipping & Receiving Lead is responsible for all shipping & receiving aspects of the gravitypope Vancouver locations to support the sales teams.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Performing general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort, and move shipments by hand or using materials handling equipment
- Examining and counting shipment contents and comparing with records, including Purchase Order Receipts, invoices, and packing slips, to verify accuracy of shipments
- Pick, pack, seal and label materials to prepare for shipping
- Maintaining daily shipping and receiving logs
- Delivering or routing materials to other departments using material handling devices as required
- Reporting and correcting inventory variances efficiently and effectively
- Maintaining safe working conditions and keeping the stock room and related areas clean and free of debris
- In collaboration with management, ensuring stock movement is facilitated in a way that strategically benefits sales
- Filing and other office duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in a similar role is considered an asset
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
- First aid training and WHMIS knowledge would be considered an asset
- Physical strength and stamina to lift and move goods repeatedly
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize, as well as ensure a high quality of work completed within an acceptable timeframe
- High attention to detail
- Self-motivated and goal orientated
- Capable of working independently and with others in a collaborative process
- Strong understanding of the retail industry
