**Job description
- Accounting Specialist**

Tillsonburg Custom Foods has an opening available for an Accounting Specialist to join our growing company. Come work with our incredible and talented finance team.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Maintaining accounts receivable files and records
- Create statements and reports that require the use of a number of sources
- AR customer accounts/statements reconciliations
- Reconcile discrepancies by checking all possible source of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
- General accounting: complete monthly adjusting journal entries and other journal entries as directed by the Controller and other ad hoc projects
- Ensure strict confidentiality and privacy of all financial records
- Additional duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- University Degree, Major in Accounting, College Diploma, Major in Accounting or equivalent work experience (minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting role)
- Advance computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Strong time-management skills demonstrated through successfully undertaking multiple priorities at one time
- Well-developed knowledge of accounting principles and best practices, specifically in the areas of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, month and year end processing
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with teammates
- Actively contribute to a positive, collaborative work culture through professional communication with all departments and teammates
- Self-starter and strong attention to detail
- Ability to define and solve problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts and draw conclusions
