Proposal Coordinator

You are resourceful and have a knack of finding solutions by using all tools at your disposal. You believe in efficiency and work best under deadlines. You use checklists, sticky notes, and calendars on a daily basis and get a tiny thrill out of dotting your i’s and crossing your t’s.
You are a content curator; you read and sort through information with ease. You have the skills to translate the systematic syntax of science into words anyone can understand. You enjoy helping others and are driven to get the job done. You are a hands-on worker, able to work collaboratively or on your own. You are curious, attentive, and eager to learn from colleagues at every level.
**YOUR ROLE**:
Coordinating proposals from beginning to end, including:
- Participating in/facilitating kick-off meetings to discuss proposal strategy, content development, and internal deadlines
- Developing and monitoring proposal schedules and deadlines
- Assembling and customizing project team resumes, project highlight sheets, and boilerplate to suit RFPs
- Researching and writing non-technical proposal sections such as cover letters and Executive Summaries
- Reviewing/editing/proofreading entire proposal, including technical content written by others
- Reviewing the RFP and ensuring the proposal response is compliant
WHAT YOU BRING:
- A minimum 2 - 6 + years of experience in preparing proposals or writing grants
- Completed Diploma or Degree in English/Communications/Marketing/Business Administration or other writing focused preferred
- Strong business/technical writing skills; ability to proofread technical writing from others and edit for grammar, spelling, clarity, and overall writing quality
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Basic skills in Microsoft Project
- Exceptional ability to manage multiple competing demands and consistently meet deadlines
- Flexible and adaptable personality
- Experience in the consulting industry is considered an asset
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively and professionally, verbally and in writing, to all staff levels
