**Duties**
- Collaborate with various departments to identify purchasing needs and specifications for materials and services.
- Source and evaluate potential vendors to establish reliable supply chains.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve optimal procurement outcomes.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to track inventory levels and forecast future needs.
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely processing of orders from requisition through delivery.
- Monitor market trends and analyze price fluctuations to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor agreements for audit purposes.
- Assist in the development of procurement strategies that align with company goals.
**Experience**
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles within a supply chain environment.
- Familiarity with vendor management practices and sourcing techniques.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes positively.
- Knowledge of MRP systems and inventory management processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail in price analysis and market research.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and systems is preferred.
