Maintenance Manager

**Scope of Position**: Reporting directly to the Plant Manager; this full-time position will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation and repair of all plant equipment, as well as the maintenance of the plant infrastructure. The successful incumbent will also lead and support the maintenance staff with a special focus on continuously improving processes and efficiencies. This position includes the (3) direct reports.
**Maintenance Manager Responsibilities**:
- Develop a digital (FIIX) PM plan for all equipment and facility.
- Coordinate daily cleaning and maintenance activities.
- Inspect sites regularly to identify problems and necessary maintenance.
- Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work as per forecasted workloads.
- Direct, supervise and train workers.
- Oversee all repairs and ensure that work is completed on time.
- Maintain all inventory and equipment and ensure proper storage.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment maintenance logs, repair history, and maintenance costs.
- Coordinate with production managers to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize disruptions to production schedules.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices on site.
- Conduct preventative maintenance work.
- Conduct follow-ups on all maintenance and repair work.
- Conduct safety inspections as scheduled.
- Establish strategies to meet workload demands on time.
- Ensures that preventative maintenance complies with the Company Quality Standards.
- Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and implement proactive maintenance measures.
**Maintenance Manager Requirements**:
1. Educational background in mechanical or engineering technology (diploma or degree), coupled with a Millwright and/or Electrician license (or equivalent) is considered an asset.
2. Engineering degree (highly advantageous).
3. 5 years of experience as a maintenance supervisor/manager (essential).
4. Experience with a unionized environment is considered an asset.
5. Strong knowledge of trades maintenance principles, practices, and techniques
6. Solid understanding knowledgeable of Ontario Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations
7. Effective budgeting and performance management.
8. Strong organizational and leadership skills.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
11. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawing.

**Salary**: $100,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
