At Parsons, our Bridge teams provide design, rehabilitation, construction, condition inspection, construction inspection, and bridge architecture services for all bridge types and for all methods of project delivery across Canada. We are looking for a strong leader to join our team; one who inspires loyalty and commitment and understands how to design and deliver leading-edge bridge projects in BC and across the nation. This position requires a solid track record of managing bridge design and design-build projects along with solid knowledge and experience with industry/client standards.

In this role, you will oversee and manage the overall structural bridge design on both conventional and design-build projects for bridge and related structural projects. We need your technical expertise, to oversee the structural design team’s technical deliverables and ensure that we meet project schedules from design through construction. Using your technical expertise, you will ensure the highest quality of engineering is put forth to meet all design criteria requirements.

As a Technical Director you will be involved in identifying new business and participate in the proposal process, and then stay technically hands-on throughout the life cycle of the project. You will be involved in mentoring and coaching our structural teams, participate in the performance evaluation process, and help us to recruit/hire and grow our team. Additional responsibilities include monitoring the quality and progress of the structural discipline on each project, ensure all client requirements are met, and interface with the clients and partners on programs.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field) along with P.Eng in good standing with provincial body
- 15+ years of related Bridge Design experience, including supervisory/managerial experience
- Experience with both conventional and design/build projects required
- Experience working on bridges across provinces a strong assets

Salary Range:
$139,500 - $259,300
