**Responsibilities**:

- Bi-weekly payroll processing for 75+ employees
- Process commission to be paid out periodically
- Review all hourly timesheets are accurate and correct
- Review all new hire packages are completed correctly and enter new employee information into HRIS system
- Create and maintain employee files
- Process termination pay and complete ROEs
- Follow up with employees on Health and Safety certifications
- Administer group benefits and review group benefit deductions are accurate (Life, LTD & AD&D)
- Disability claims management
- Source deduction (EHT, CPP, EI, WSIB, CSSNT) remittances
- Act a point of contact for employees regarding payroll Maintain HR/Payroll policies and procedures (and document properly)
- Deliver new hire orientation sessions
- Support HR cycle campaigns; objectives & development, performance reviews, variable pay, & merit increases
- Manager internal HR/Payroll communications
- Provide support to the Finance and Operations team
- Schedule & coordinate employee background checks & security clearances
- Review & process business expense reimbursements
- Provide administrative support for Corporate travel booking tool
- Reporting on HR & Payroll data
- Vendor management - brokers and service providers

Qualifications:

- Between 3-5 years’ experience in payroll (ADP WFN essential) plus group benefits administration including group retirement plans; ; RRSP, DPSP, and/or Pensions
- Between 2-3 years’ HR experience in a corporate environment
- Payroll Certification
- Bilingual (French Speaking) an asset
- Advanced knowledge and familiarity of related payroll and provincial employment legislation for AB, BC, NS, ON, PEI, & QC
- Strong organization skills and a capacity for working autonomously
- Exercise full discretion and confidentiality with information in an ethical and professional manner
- Must be successful in qualifying for and maintaining any security clearance requirements
- Ability to physically work in the Corporate office the majority of working days
- Completion of accredited college/university program
