Working directly with our Principal Lawyer, this is an opportunity to grow and develop your skills working on an interesting and wide range of family law work. We’re a small but dynamic team, allowing you flexibility between independence and collaboration where you can carve out your own space and build your skills while still benefitting from one-on-one mentorship.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct legal research and analysis on various family law issues
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements
- Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings and trials
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding their rights and obligations
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to develop case strategies
- Stay updated on changes in family law legislation and precedents

**Qualifications**:

- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Good Standing with the BC Law Society
- Proven experience practicing family law
- Strong knowledge of family law principles and procedures
- Excellent legal drafting skills
- Ability to negotiate effectively on behalf of clients
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

While compensation is commensurate with experience, our Family Law Associate's are compensated based upon their collected fees each month such that each Associate controls how much they choose to earn with the firm's robust marketing providing the ability for each associate to collect significant hours each month, without difficulty.

**Compensation**:
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $80,000.00-$200,000.00 per year

Additional pay:

- Bonus pay
