Position Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced family law lawyer with 3 - 5 years of experience in British Columbia to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage a diverse caseload, providing legal counsel to clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and property division. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a supportive team of professionals and represent clients in both negotiation and litigation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, support issues, and property division.
  • Provide sound legal advice and guidance to clients regarding family law issues.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including divorce applications, financial statements, separation agreements, and court submissions.
  • Manage a caseload effectively and ensure clients are kept informed throughout the legal process.
  • Attend court hearings and mediation sessions, advocating for clients' best interests.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of legal work.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • A member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in family law.
  • Strong understanding of family law statutes, procedures, and precedents.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Compassionate, client-focused approach to legal practice.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases effectively.
