**DESCRIPTION**
As an Administrative Assistant, your primary responsibilities will be to oversee the organization and maintenance of all office operations. You will work closely with other members of the team to provide administrative support and excellent customer service. Your contribution will be key to maintaining a positive, productive, and engaging work environment for all. This position will be based out of our Canadian head office located in Nisku, AB.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions. Stop work in the area of an identified health or safety problem until resolved.
- Promote a fiscally responsible, professional culture and work with internal and external shareholders to maintain financial confidentiality and establish trust.
- Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward internal and external customers, clients, and co-workers at all times.
- Main reception, manage all incoming calls, screen, and direct calls as necessary.
- Receive, direct the general public to the appropriate staff member.
- Open and date stamp all general correspondence. Deliver to appropriate staff member; generate outgoing mail and courier deliveries.
- Maintain an adequate inventory of office supplies. Monitor the use of supplies and equipment. Generate supply order. Deliver and put away when order arrives.
- Provide word-processing and administrative support as requested.
- Assists payroll department with weekly timesheet data entry for union and non-union employees.
- Uphold company culture and core values by adhering to Michels Canada's Standards and Policies and working with others to promote and preserve our values while conducting your duties to contribute to a positive and professional work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- 1 -2 years of secretarial/clerical experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Proficient communication skills.
- Basic bookkeeping knowledge.

**LANGUAGES**
- Must be able to communicate verbally and through written language (by hand and digitally) in English.
