Your Focus
- Review bid opportunities and contract documents (drawings, specs, addenda, schedules) to accurately scope The Frame’s steel framing packages.
- Prepare comprehensive material takeoffs using PlanSwift and other digital tools, ensuring quantities and assemblies align with The Frame’s standardised framing systems.
- Prepare project cost estimates, bills of material, and professional proposal submissions that accurately reflect current supplier pricing, production capacity, and installation methods.
- Use The Frame’s software and data systems to organize estimates, track revisions, and support fast, repeatable project delivery.
- Coordinate with design, production, and project management teams to support shop drawing, fabrication, and site execution requirements, including printing fabrication drawings and panel ID stickers.

What you bring
- Construction-related diploma or certificate (or equivalent experience) with at least three years of experience on residential and/or commercial construction projects, ideally involving structural or framing scopes.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and cost/benefit skills, with the ability to make profitable decisions in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.
- Proficiency with MS Office and estimating/takeoff software (PlanSwift experience considered an asset).
- Detail orientation, excellent organization, and the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines at once while maintaining accuracy.
- Clear, professional communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to work independently, collaborate across teams, and adapt as projects evolve.

Role details
- Working out of their North York facility, the Construction Estimator will report to the President and focus on projects across the GTA and surrounding markets.
- Compensation: $50,000-$70,000 annually based on experience, plus health and dental benefits after 3 months.
- Location: North York, ON.
