Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating demolition and excavation project costs, preparing detailed proposals, and collaborating with project managers and clients to ensure successful project execution. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent negotiation skills, and proficiency in estimating software.

Duties

  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
  • Utilize construction estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create detailed estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop project timelines and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust estimates as necessary throughout the construction process.
  • Maintain organized records of all estimates and related documentation for future reference.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and best practices to enhance estimating accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project management principles.
  • Proficiency in using estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information accurately.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a focus on building positive relationships with clients and suppliers.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is required.
