**Job Summary**
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Garage Door Installer Technician. This is a mid-level field position responsible for independtly installing garage doors and openers, performing light service work, and ensuring each job meets quality and safety standards. Working directly with a helper or under a Lead Installer, this role balances hands-on mechanical work with problem-solving and customer interaction.

**Duties**
- Independently install residential and light commercial garage doors.
- Install openers including rails, motors, wall controls, remotes, and safety equipment.
- Handle service tasks: cable rewraps, spring replacements, track alignment, etc.
- Identily and resolve minor site-specific challenges
- Read and interpret job orders, maufacturer specs, and install instructions.
- Measure, level, and fasten components according to safety and install standards.
- Communicate clearly with customers, answer install-related questions, opener use, safety, maintenance and collect feedback.
- Ensure jobs are completed on time and meet company quality expectations.
- Assist in training and mentoring Installer Helpers during jobs.
- Complete all required documentation and photos for completed installs.
- Maintain a clean jobsite and secure tools, equipment, and job materials.
- Conduct daily truck and trailer checks to ensure readiness and compliance.

**Skills**
- Experinece installing garage doors and openers
- Strong mechanical skills and or understanding of garage door systems
- Ability to troubleshoot problems onsite independently
- Use of multimeter/testing devices to verify power, functioning, signal, etc.
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working solo under any conditions
- Guide customers through opener app setup or maintenance tips
- Comfortable working from ladders, lifts, and in varied weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- WHIMIS, Fall Protection and Lift Certification (provided if needed)
- Familiarty with power tools, torque ratings, and safe handling of spring systems

Hourly wage is determind by required skills and certifications.

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
